About the Population Policy Inquiry
 

The Local Government Association of Queensland has undertaken an independent public inquiry in 2010 into whether Queensland needs a population policy to guide its future growth. 
The Inquiry conducted, among other activities, four public hearings around Queensland, placed public advertisements seeking submissions, and is commissioned community attitude surveys.
The Inquiry released an Interim Report on Monday 31 May

The Inquiry completed its work and handed down its findings in a Final Report on Thursday 1 July
